Happy Thanksgiving!!

In the spirit of thanks and STEM the kids and I started our astronomy inquiry with a Thanksgiving craft. We created a Space Turkey Hat. The idea was to have 8 feathers that could represent each planet with the turkey being the center sun. I found this idea to work well. Addy quickly picked up on what we were doing and had information down pat before the activity was over. We made 6 hats. One for each of the children we expect to see at Thanksgiving dinner this coming Thursday. The girls loved the idea of making hats for their cousins! Here is a tutorial and activity sheet.
